Inventory Management
While it's not very glamorous or exciting, inventory control is the foundation of our business and we take it seriously. It's
pretty hard to tell a compelling story about inventory control, so we'll just share how we handle your products.
Security
Our warehouses are climate controlled with temperatures limited between 65 to 80 degrees fahrenheit. Our location in the dry mountain desert keeps
humidity low so we have the perfect environment for maintaining most products. All of our employees are bound to a non-disclosure
agreement keeping your secrets safe, and our facilities are closely monitored to ensure unauthorized visitors are kept away from our
storage and processing areas.
Quality Control
Every receipt is audited, based on ISO standards, for quality, shipping damage, consistency and quantities received. We will ensure your product receipts
conform to the quality control standards that you set, and we will monitor your PO quantities and notify you of any discrepancies.
Product that doesn't conform to your standards are placed in holding while we await a disposition. If we are managing your procurement we will
simply take care of issues as they arise.
Version Management
Our warehouse system defaults to first-in, first-out so we will always ship the oldest product first. When we receive an item, whether it
is printed material or a product, we compare it to existing stock. If something is different we will work with you to determine how to handle
the change. We monitor expiration dates, (for example coupons, food products or pharmaceuticals) and will ensure that no out of date inventory
is shipped. From every angle, we ensure your product is current and we closely manage product changes.
Stock Protection
Backorders or stock outs are costly. These situations clearly impact the customer experience and they drive up your fulfillment cost by adding to
your order count, rush production and shipping of inbound replacement product, additional outbound shipping costs, etc. We implement multiple layers of
stock protection to avoid a backorder.
If you are using our fulfillment platform, your control panel will provide "in your face" alerts regarding inventory status. You won't be able
to login to your account without being provided with clear information regarding any product that may need replenishment. Additionally, our platform
will send you emails as your stock reaches a reorder point.
We don't just leave it up to you to be responsible for your inventory. Your success is our success, so we employ three separate systems of internal
monitoring and if we see that you have inventory in peril, we'll let you know.
Inventory Turns
Our inventory systems track detailed usage for each of your products. Our algorithms monitor your current usage and use weighted-averages to determine a
forecast for each item. Not withstanding an unforeseen sales promotion or similar event, our systems can typically predict a stock-out date within 72 hours,
30 days in the future. This allows for extraordinary control over your inventory turns and replenishment frequency.
You can define the number of inventory turns for your program. Our usage and forecasting expertise can guarantee you the inventory turn rate you set.
Product Procurement
You have the option of deciding who is responsible for your inventory levels. If desired, we can monitor your inventory levels and we can issue PO's on
your behalf, either with your vendors or ours.
Most of our customers choose to have us manage their inventory procurement as it is an area of high risk
that requires a great deal of time to monitor on a regular basis. Additionally, the decisions you make may have some emotional attachment whereas our
decisions are based on a mathematical inventory management strategy.
